Millbrook Gallery and Antiques has made an effort to emphasize the talents of living artists in the tri-state area. With some exceptions, our commitment is to artists who do work in representational formats, imbuing each of their pieces with their personal style and skill. Because we use our sister store, the Millbrook Antiques Mall, for antique or vintage artwork, we have the luxury of giving our artists a venue to show their work.
Whether it’s a photogravure or an oil on linen, 99.9% (but who’s counting?) of the work on the walls and shelves is original, made by the artists’ hands. We take pride in the quality of that work, and make the effort to constantly change the displays. It’s because of this that our customers love to come back again and again, to see what is new, or to see a piece that they hadn’t noticed before.
You may be intrigued by the samples on this website. If so, I hope you will come in and view an artist’s work in person. One can never duplicate color and brushstroke on a website. If that is impossible, I can send you more images that could help you decide to purchase a painting or sculpture.
Remember, we have several artists that are available for portrait work (human, canine, feline or equine.) We can arrange for you to meet the portraitist of your choice.
