Emily Fuller

Emily Fuller comes to landscapes from a long history of abstract painting.  Now concentrating on "direct representation on-site", she paints her agrarian surroundings.  There, farmers often create bands of color by alternating crops of corn and alfalfa.  These patterns harken back to those abstract paintings she did years ago.

Using a camera to supplement her plein-aire work, Ms. Fuller can work all year round creating oil paintings that capture her beloved Dutchess County in upstate New York.
