Michael Davidoff has extended the range of watercolor painting, working with a controlled detailed technique. He is recognized as an adherent of "Regional Realism". The primary theme of his paintings is rural New York State and New England homes, barns, historic landmarks, their natural environs and seasonal landscapes. In fact, we commissioned a portrait of our house, and proudly display it in the living room His love of upstate New York and the New England countryside and coastal waterways produce endless inspiration for his work. 

Since 1975, Davidoff has devoted his full attention to watercolor painting and has established himself as an outstanding artist. Critics have acclaimed Davidoff for his controlled crisp style of realism. Excellent draftsmanship, brush rendering and authenticity of detail and color are hallmarks of this realist painter's work. He has had his work displayed at major art exhibitions earning him numerous awards and a sizable following.
