Sherry Camhy
Sherry is not only the consummate artist with pencil and graphite, she is able to teach these techniques to her many grateful students with generosity and skill. To further her reach past the classroom, she has written a well-received book, “The Art of the Pencil.”
Ms. Camhy creates beauty in many media: oil, watercolor, clay and pastel become tools for an inventive and sharp eye. The Old Barn and The Willow Tree are in pastel and are not representative of the highly meticulous work she is best known for. They are much freer and show the artists’s hand to a much greater degree.
